However, we often partner with a range of other sector organizations, including nonprofit intermediaries, to offer skills-based programs and best practices resources to nonprofit organizations.

Nonprofit Intermediary and Membership Organizations
- Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is an international, member-based group that empowers individuals and organizations to practice ethical fundraising through professional education, networking, research, and advocacy.
- Network for Strong Communities (NSC) provides capacity building, programs and services and resources that strengthen Missouri and Southern Illinois nonprofits.
- Nonprofit Connect links the nonprofit community serving Kansas City to education, networking, and resources, including Career Center and Connext: Emerging Nonprofit Leaders (formerly YNPN).
- Nonprofit Leadership Alliance is a Kansas City-based credentialing and leadership training organization that strengthens the social sector with a talented, prepared workforce.
- (Inactive) Nonprofit Missouri (NPMO) provides a collective voice to unite, strengthen and advance the nonprofit sector in Missouri.
- Young Nonprofit Professionals Network St. Louis (YNPN St. Louis) connects and cultivates the next generation of nonprofit leaders and offers a variety of regular professional development and networking opportunities for young people in the social sector.

St. Louis Public Library’s Grants and Foundation Center provides free access to online, searchable grants databases, offering timely, comprehensive information on grants and grantmakers. Assistance is available by appointment and on a drop-in basis.

- Educational Programs:PhilMO is exploring additional program models to help build meaningful connections between funders and nonprofits in Missouri, such as Being a Future-Focused Leader in Spring 2023. - Cross-Sector After Hours Networking Events: In partnership with a number of regional intermediaries, Philanthropy Missouri annually co-sponsors social networking opportunities for grantmakers and nonprofit colleagues to convene and build cross-sector relationships.
Philanthropy Missouri Publications & Tools of Interest
- St. Louis Regional Collaborations Directory: The Collaborations Directory is a catalog of the cross-sector collaborative efforts that connect and serve the St. Louis region. This free tool is intended to foster knowledge-sharing and provide context as potential partners contemplate opportunities to work together. The Directory is available in two formats: a printed PDF version and an interactive online counterpart, with the added benefit of sortable data. - Missouri Common Grant Application: The Missouri Common Grant Application (CGA) Version 2.0 allows grantmakers and grantseekers to work from a common set of questions and definitions that reinforce solid nonprofit practices. Grantmakers who accept the CGA will host this form on their respective websites; some grantmakers may have modified versions of the CGA. Please keep in mind that every grantmaker has different guidelines and priorities, as well as deadlines and timetables. Any funder that has agreed to accept a CGA form may request additional information at any stage in the proposal process. Learn more here.
- Major Campaign Report (formerly Capital Campaign Report): Philanthropy Missouri produces an overview of the St. Louis market for capital and endowment campaigns. These trends are significant for nonprofits considering launching a campaign, for grantmakers who fund capital and endowment projects, and for consultants and those who work with nonprofits in helping identify needs and resources in the community.
