Walking the Talk:
Values-Based Grantmaking
A Skills & Strategies Program for Grantmakers
Thursday, March 29, 2018

Are you walking the talk when it comes to your values and the way you make grants?

Grantmaking practices, or how grants "get made," are often the most public and sometimes the only expression of a funder's values. Values include what grantmakers care about, how they see the world, and their orientation toward nonprofit partners. Yet grantmaking practices are not always aligned with a funder's values.
Join Gateway Center for Giving for a workshop conducted by PEAK Grantmaking to learn how to bring a values-based approach to your grantmaking.

Participants will leave this program with:
  • An understanding of PEAK Grantmaking's latest research on the critical importance of articulating organizational values and putting values into practice;
  • A set of tools to assess how your organization is doing in aligning its practices with values, and strategies to enact positive changes within your areas of authority; and
  • Increased capacity to enlist colleagues and leadership in collaborative efforts to articulate and "live" your organizational values.
DATE: Thursday, March 29, 2018
TIME: 9:00am-11:00am (Workshop content will begin promptly at 9:00am)
